1978年の“子どもの本”に選ばれた良書、
イギリスの作家 Raymond Briggs（レイモンド・ブリッグズ）の作品
'The Snowman' (ザ・スノーマン）はあまりにも有名。
ショートアニメーションフィルムとして1982年に公開され、
同じ年のクリスマスにイギリスのテレビで放送されました。
イギリスではそれ以来、毎年クリスマスに放送されています。
このシーンは 'Walking in the Air' というもの。
Howard Blake（ハワード・ブレイク）作曲、
St. Paul's大聖堂の聖歌隊で13才のPeter Auty（ピーター・オーティ）が
透き通る声で歌っています。
The Snowman' is a 1978 award-winning children's book by English author Raymond Briggs.
The book was adapted into a short animated film in 1982 and broadcast on British TV for Christmas the same year. It has been shown at Christmas every year since.
The centrepiece of the film is 'Walking in the Air', composed by Howard Blake and sung by 13-year old St. Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty.
